Usually, I keep my birthday celebrations to a small group of friends and family but this year being a major milestone I’ve decided to invite everyone to my 70th birthday party that is actually a birthday concert.

The Gales of November - The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot
November 9 2024 – St. Paul’s United Church – 7:30 pm

The Lighfoot songs have been well received since their debut with the TBSO in April. My solo show traveled to Blind River, Sudbury, Toronto and Belleville to tremendous response. I’ll be joined by Dan Zadkovich on guitar and Dave Isherwood on bass for the Tbay show and then we will be off to play the following weekend at the Loft in Sault Ste Marie on Nov. 16.
St. Paul’s is one of the most beautiful old churches around with amazing acoustics and I’ve always wanted to do a concert there. I’ve also always wanted to film a concert and so for my 70th Chad Kirvan and his crew will film the entire night with Rob Nickerson doing the recording and mixing and mastering.
I’d consider it an excellent 70th birthday present if you come out to the show. The Lightfoot songs will sound incredible in this venue and for those who saw the TBSO shows this will be similar but sadly no TBSO this time around. The hall is booked and tickets available shortly online and in print. More info to come!!!
