My five year quest to have a new burial plaque for my hometown's namesake was realized on July 16, 2012!
The Songs of Fort William concert will premiere the video of the plaque's fixing from St. James's Church Piccadilly in London.
The video will play on the big screens while we perform the song about my quest I Followed You Down.

CD Launch—October 19 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium—8:00 p.m.
With ten albums and over thirty years performing his songs across Canada and the UK, award-winning singer-songwriter Rodney Brown remains committed to his Northwestern Ontario roots and is currently getting ready to release his new CD, “Songs of Fort William”.  A special CD Launch Concert on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium will showcase his latest efforts.  Accompanied by Music Director, Arthur Post and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, this celebration with feature Rodney's historical songs, orchestrated by composer Lise Vaugeois.  Other performances will include ceremonial songs by Thunder Mountain Singers, fiddler Pierre Schryer and piper Ryan Moore.
“Songs of Fort William” is an evocative follow-up to Rodney's well-received recordings “ North Land ” and “The Big Lonely” and is his most ambitious project to date.  Rodney’s new release will detail the legacy of Canadian explorers, fur traders, country wives, voyageurs and First Nations peoples at the North West Company's headquarters on the Kaministiquia River dating back 200 years. 
Rodney Brown’s new CD and this special Launch Concert will mark a significant milestone in Rodney's career and will be a wonderful way to celebrate our community and our unique historical roots.
Tickets are $30 - $45 and are available through the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium Box Office.
