Into The Woods Review

Rodney Brown celebrates the Northwest. Touching song writing and finessed musicianship make Rodney Brown's Into the Woods the Thunder Bay singer/songwriter's best disc to date.

Folk is still the bedrock of Brown's sound with reggae, rock, country and bluegrass all in the mix with top-notch production from Ian Tamblyn, another local product. The power of Lake Superior and the Northwest landscape resonates on tracks, Journey's End, The Forgotten Ones, Into the Woods and Before the People Came. Casualty of War is a touching tribute to a father and a veteran. Love's Changes is tender praise to a lover and partner. A brilliant celebration of where we live with Rodney Brown at his best.
