Hello and welcome to the Winter 2010 edition of micro-rodney news! Big News with a little name!
Getting ready to board the tour bus with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra!!
We will be performing songs from my Big Lonely CD!! Hope to see some friends in the region. It’s a great show and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

My song *Casualty of War* is on a new CD called *Until You Come Home - Songs For Veterans And Their Kin*.
It’s a great and unique project with 16 wonderful songs/stories that confront the horrors of war and it’s effect on veterans and their families. It’s produced by George Mann from New York and features songs from Utah Phillips, Holly Near and Tom Paxton and more!!

*Artists in the 5th - Arts Fiesta *- This is a wondrous annual event put on by Thunder Bay’s Community Arts and Heritage Education Program. I worked with a grade 4 class and helped them compose a song about this years theme Design by Nature. They and a host of other students from schools across the city have been working with performing and visual artists to present their work at this great event. the public is invited to come out and see some great art! www.cahep.ca/content/Current.../Artists_in.../About_Artists_in_the_5th

The first half of the night is the concert and the second half is the dance!
I’ll be there with the Excellent Band featuring [in alphabetical order] Damon Dowbak, Danny Johnson, Jim Differ, Pierre Schryer, Sage Reynolds and Tracy K!!! Tickets will be available next week @ Fireweed, Music Workshop and Kleewyck Glass and there will be more details soon!
In the meantime I’ll be busy conducting songwriting workshops in many Thunder Bay classrooms for the remainder of the winter with the *Learning Through The Arts Program.

*Voyage to Quebec Spring Tour *
Driving out to Quebec’s Eastern Townships to play for the Richmond Historical Society on Sat. May 15. Starting to confirm some gigs along the way but could use your help! If you or if you have friends would like to host a show between here and there and back here please let me know. I’ll also be in the Toronto area at the Free Times Cafe on Thursday May 20.
